Aspen Power Washing in Macon, Ga had the privileged of cleaning the Tift College Alumnae House. The Tift College Alumnae House was built in 1880 and is repainted often to keep up its nice appearance. The contractor in charge, contacted Aspen Power Washing in Macon,  Ga. to do the cleaning on the house, before he painted it.

How We Cleaned It?

The exterior of the  Alumnae House is very delicate. Most of the wood and trim around the house is original and had to be cleaned in a way that would not cause any damage. The approach we took to cleaning this house was to use a low pressure cleaning process called soft washing. Soft washing is using very little pressure to clean.

Cleaning The Tift College Alumnae House

We applied the house wash solution to the house using our 12 volt chemical applicator and rinsed it with our soft wash nozzle. This allowed us to clean with a stronger cleaning solution and use less water pressure.

 

Cleaning The Steps

After the house was cleaned and rinsed, we tackled the painted steps. The steps, like the rest of the house, was covered with mildew. To clean the steps, we applied the same solution that we used to clean the house. After letting the cleaning solution dwell for 10 min., we rinsed them with medium pressure using the pressure washing wand instead of soft washing.
