A contractor contacted us for post construction cleanup at All American Self Storage in Macon, Ga. The building was complete and was scheduled to open it a couple weeks and he needed the exterior cleaned. The sidewalks, curb and gutter, parking lot and retaining wall all needed to have red clay removed.
Cleaning Curb And Sidewalk
The curb and sidewalk were stained from red clay and both needed cleaning. Aspen Power Washing pre soaked both surfaces with a commercial cleaning solution before cleaning. To clean the curb and gutter evenly, we used or concrete surface cleaner. The surface cleaner cleaned even and faster than the pressure washing wand and removed all of the red clay. We also used the surface cleaner to clean the sidewalks at both entrances.
Cleaning The Retaining Wall
The retaining wall that we cleaned was built from cut block and was put together in a way that it did not use mortar. Dirt was left in the joints and on the face of the block from the construction process and needed to be removed. We applied the same cleaning solution used on the curb and sidewalks to the retaining wall. We then cleaned the wall with our high flow, low pressure cleaning attachment. This attachment allowed us to remove caked on dirt from the wall without causing damage to the block.
Cleaning The Asphalt Parking Lot
The asphalt parking lot had red clay stains left on it from the vehicles and equipment during construction. We were able to clean the asphalt and remove all of the stains. To clean the asphalt we pre treated it with our cleaning solution and used a combination of tools. The high flow, low pressure nozzle was used to remove the large amounts of dirt and debris. We used our surface cleaner to remove dirt that was embedded into the asphalt and the pressure washing wand to rinse it all away after cleaning. The contractor was pleased with results of this construction cleanup from Aspen Power Washing in Macon, Ga.
