Aspen Power Washing was contacted by a contractor in Warner Robins, Ga about pressure washing a metal building framing. The metal building framing had been installed on the concrete slab but, was covered with red mud from being stored out in the weather. The builder wanted the metal building framing cleaned before the exterior and insulation was installed.
Building Framing
About 99% of the framing was together and standing but, some of the framing was loose and laying the floor. This metal was cleaned while it was laying down. We applied a cleaner to help remove the mud from the steel, and let it sit for 10 min. After waiting, we used our pressure washer to rinse the cleaner and mud away. This was the best approach for cleaning this framing.
Metal Building Framing
The standing metal framing was cleaned in three different ways. The exterior of the frame was cleaned with an telescopic extension wand. The telescopic wand extends out to 24 ft and allowed us to maneuver and clean around the exterior of the building without needing to use a lift. The interior of the standing framing was cleaned using a scissor lift. It maneuvered well inside over the open areas, but not well around the plumbing and open troughs in the floor. For those areas we used wand extensions and ladders to clean. Aspen Power Washing has the tools to get the job done.
